Listening while riding?

Who here listens while they ride or do you save it for the lift rides.
I find it freaky, i somehow like to hear how the board is on the snow for 'grip' level, and I'm worried someones is going to come flying down the mountain and hit me.

Depends how confident you are with your riding and ability... some people ride better with tuned out to the rest of the world with the music playing... Personally I like the sensory perception of being able to hear whats going on around me just in case.

... while I like to tune out and pretend I'm somewhere that I'm not.

I love holidays.

Always have my tunes playing while I ride. I find nothing better than to get something sweet pumping while you rip it up. Normally don't have them playing if I'm in the park though.

me being a newbie, i felt exactly the same as you, so i just left listening to the mp3's on the lifts, instead of trying to make convo with the person next to me

i never ride with music, tried it once, i like the sound of riding better. nothing better than flying down an empty run, nothing but you, the board and the snow!

Creating convo's on the lifts is one of the best parts of riding...
